About Us
Who We Are Umbrauto is a premier car camping brand recognized across the United States. Founded in 1991, we have been a global leader in the design and manufacturing of automotive and camping gear for over 30 years. With six outdoor camping equipment design and development centers worldwide, we are committed to providing our customers with the ultimate outdoor camping lifestyle!
Our Story Our story begins with our founder, Michael Zhang—a passionate outdoor enthusiast with a relentless thirst for adventure. Driven by his love for outdoor sports and a desire to explore the world's most beautiful landscapes, Michael embarked on a journey into the world of car travel. However, he quickly realized that high-quality gear and reliable knowledge about car camping were scarce, leaving many adventure-seekers feeling ill-prepared for the road.
Determined to make a difference, Michael immersed himself in extensive research, tirelessly seeking out the best car travel products and solutions to enhance his adventures. With a heart full of wanderlust and a mind brimming with ideas, he decided to share his expertise with the world. Thus, Umbrauto was born—a testament to Michael's unwavering dedication to helping others experience the wonders of outdoor travel in all its glory. In July 2023, we proudly launched our official website to connect directly with explorers everywhere.
